Final Project. Animation.

The final animation of the building. Hope you enjoy. The animation consists of simple camera movements and panning where doors and windows are opened leading of variation of shadows in the different scene.

Thank You.

WIP Animation

creating 3d text as an introduction to the animation video .

A ball was added to the introduction scene. The animation of the ball was mainly controlled by a modifier named "xForm". This modifier controls the movement and rotation of the sphere as it rolls along the scene.

The scenes are usually controlled using autokey method and ocaaaionally adding the camera to the path.
personally, i think that the keyframe animation is easier to be used to adjust angles of the camera at different scene and frames.
Due to the separation of multiple scenes during rendering from 3ds max,  The scene are all combined together in the end using video editing software - iMovie

Project 2A final render.

Test Renderings

cameras were positioned at different angles to produces different view of the building. materials are adjusted and the exposure of the camera is also configured to capture the best view.

Project 2B

Materials are added by using the Arch& Design template. Pictures of material textures were sourced from the internet and then applied to to material editor by using bitmap.
The 3D effect of materials were achieved by producing a black and white copy of the image and applied using the bump method.

The daylight is created by the above method. Using MR Sky and Mr Sun as the default background and light source.

The Contour, Terrain, and sea water is created with the plane tool. The plane is first converted into a editable poly and then variated by adjusting the vertex.  The modifier "mesh smooth" is then used to smooth-en the waves making it less rigid.

Layer are used to differentiate the different elements on the building for ease of differentiation when rendering in 3Ds Max.

The file from Rhinoceros was saved as IGES file and then imported into 3Ds Max from Rhinoceros.
A contour template was imported onto the same file and used to create the contour as seen above.

Test Rendering in progress.

Using Rhinoceros, the .dwg file From AutoCAD have been imported. 3D objects created with AutoCad can also be imported into Rhinoceros.

Diagram above shows orthographic drawing to further help for the 3D model's construction.

Overlaying Plan and Elevations to get correct height before modelling starts.

Creating surfaces using Planar Surface tool to be extracted.

Surface created are extruded to form columns,

construction of floor plan on AutoCAD 2013.

Some component have been constructed with AutoCAD 3D Modelling due to constrain and unavailability of 3Ds Max and Rhinoceros.
